King Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu (14 July 1948 - 12 March 2021) was the King of the Zulu nation under the Traditional Leadership clause of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa. He succeeded his father, King Cyprian Bhekuzulu kaSolomon. The longest reigning Zulu, he sat on the throne for 52 years and 6 months from 17 September 1968 – 12 March 2021.

Death

King Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu died in hospital on Friday 12 March 2021.
