Gavin Hood (born 12 May 1963) is a South African filmmaker, director, screenwriter, producer and actor. He wrote the screenplay and directed the Academy Award winning 2005 South African film, Tsotsi. Gavin Hood also directed the Hollywood blockbuster X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
