Thapelo Mokoena, born on 21st October 1982[4], is a renowned South African actor, television producer, presenter, filmmaker, and businessman. He is best known for his role in the UK series Bulletproof S3 as William and for presenting the first season of the South African version of the reality competition Fear Factor in 2005[1]. Thapelo was born in Ladysmith, a town in Kwa Zulu Natal Province[4]. His full name is Thapelo Archibald Sfufane Mokoena, born to a Sotho father and a Zulu mother[8].
Mokoena comes from a well-known family in South Africa, with his father, Mike Mokoena, owning the Free State Stars, a premier soccer league in the country[4]. Thapelo has appeared in numerous local movies and television shows, earning him fame and recognition[3]. Notably, he played Fatani in the 2007 series Wild at Heart and appeared in the 2013 biographical feature Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom[7].
Apart from his acting career, Thapelo Mokoena is an entrepreneur. He recently opened Molitva, a restaurant at The Cradle of Humankind in Gauteng[10]. Thapelo is married to Lesego-Tshepang Mokoena[9].
