Kabelo Petrus Motha, popularly known as Kabza De Small, was born on November 27, 1992, in Mpumalanga, South Africa[1,2]. He grew up in Pretoria, after his family relocated there shortly after his birth. Kabza developed an interest in music at an early age, and by the age of 10, he was already making beats and writing songs. He started his professional career as a DJ in 2009.
Kabza De Small is a South African DJ and record producer who plays a major role in the amapiano genre of house music. He is also a member of the Scorpion Kings, a music group. In 2016, he released his first album titled “Avenue Sound”. Kabza gained international recognition in 2018 after the release of his song “Umshove”.
Kabza De Small is often referred to as the “King of Amapiano,” a subgenre of house music that combines airy synth pads, bright piano melodies, and low-tempo rhythms with elements of jazz, lounge, and deep house. He is not married but is in a long-term relationship.
