Thembi Mtshali-Jones (née Mtshali 7 November 1949) is a South African singer, actress and playwright best known for her starring role as aspiring actress Thoko on the CCV sitcom Sgudi 'Snaysi, from 1986-1992 alongside Joe Mafela, Don Mlangeni Nawa and Sello Maake Ka-Ncube. In 2003 she starred on the SABC 2 sitcom Stokvel alongside Manaka Ranaka, Siyabonga Shibe, Lele Ledwaba and James Ngcobo.

Thembi Mtshali-Jones has also starred in shows such as Madam & Eve, 90 Plein Street, Home Affairs, Shooting Stars, Fishy Fêshuns, Forced Love, Scandal, The Queen and the BBC Entertainment, drama Silent Witness.

Thembi as a singer has performed with such world-renowned artists as Dizzy Gillespie, Miriam Makeba, Hugh Masekela and Abdullah Ibrahim. She has recorded four albums in her own name, and recorded as lead vocalist with the Sipho Gumede band Peace and the African Jazz Pioneers, on both occasions making one album.
