Story

The story centres around Harriet Khoza (portrayed by Connie Ferguson) who takes over the family trucking business after the death of her husband, Mzi Khoza (portrayed by Treasure Tshabalala). Early on the show examined the uncomfortable relationship between the Khoza Family and the Mabuza Family; that relationship often undermined by the absence of trust culminated in an all war before reconciliation came.

Gracious Mabuza (portrayed by Rami Chuene) is the matriarch of the Mabuza Family and often found herself having to pry her family's women, including her daughter, off the arms of Khoza men. A parallel story is that of the local law enforcement officers, Vuyiswa Jola (portrayed by Zandile Msutwana) and Jerry Maake (portrayed by Shona Ferguson), who are tasked with keeping the Khoza Family and the Mabuza Family in line while they navigate their own personal relationship.
