Thando Thabethe (born 18 June 1990) is a South African actress, radio DJ, television host and the first ever African brand ambassador for Nivea. She was a the host of her television show Thando Bares All on channel TLC. She played the role of Nolwazi Buzo on one of South Africa most watched soap opera, from 2014 to 2017 on Generations: The Legacy. Thando began her radio career in 2008 on UJFM a campus radio, in 2011 she left UJFM for a Johannesburg based youth radio station YFM.

Early Life

Thando Thabethe was born on 18 June 1990 in Johannesburg in the Gauteng province of South Africa. She attended Mondeor High School in Johannesburg. She studied at University of the Witwatersrand.


Thanda began her career on campus radio UJFM in 2008 as radio host. In 2011 she left UJFM for a popular youth radio station YFM, in the same year she was cast as Thando Nkosi on SABC 1's sitcom My Perfect Family. She portrayed Thando Nkosi on the sitcom season 1 to 3, from 2011 to 2015. In 2013 she landed the role of Lulu on SABC 1's drama series InterSEXions season two. Later in 2013 she was cast as Evette on SABC 1's sitcom Single Guyz she acted alongside Zola Nombona, Thabo Malema, Thomas Gumede, Motlatsi Mafatshe and Warren Masemola, as Josephine on's Mzansi Love anthology series. Thando Tahbethe joined 5FM in 2013 on The Roger Goode Show before landing her own show weekdays on 5FM. In 2014 she was cast in a starring role on SABC 1's drama series Kowethu she starred alongside Vuyo Dabula, Atandwa Kani, Yule Masiteng, Vatiswa Ndara and Jo-Anne Reyneke.

In 2015 she landed the starring role on SABC 1's soap opera Generations: The Legacy as Nolwazi she starred alongside Manaka Ranaka, Ronnie Nyakale, Rapulana Seiphemo, Vuyo Dabula, Pearl Monama, Moopi Mothibeli, Musa Ngema and Letoya Makhene. In 2017 she left the popular soapie. In 2018 she starred as Linda Ndlovu on 1Magic drama series she starred alongside Mangaliso Ngema, Zikhona Sodlaka, Nthati Moshesh, Bohang Moeko, Connie Chiume and Masasa Mbangeni.
