Stoan Seate (born Tshepo Serai Seate on 9 May 1975) is a South African recording artist, record producer, poet, actor and television personality. He rose to fame as the member of the 1990s Kwaito super group, Bongo Maffin. Stoan Seate portrayed the character of Pule on the SABC 1 educational youth drama series, Soul Buddyz, through three seasons, appeared on Society and Generations. He took over from Pepsi Pokane as the host of of the SABC 2 music variety show, Afro Café, and remained host for five seasons. In 2018 reports emerged that Bongo Maffin was to reunite.

Personal Life

Stoan Seate is married to Dolly who he date since 1995. They have three daughters; Ayanna Seate, ZaharaS eate and Imani Seate. In 2015 Stoan Seate wrote on Instagram to his wife, "20 Years ago on this day she Qomad me! She said YES after days of chasing her! 20 years later she still laughs at my lame jokes! She continued to love even when the humiliation I put her through would have been too much for most to take. She did all this while maintaining her beauty and grace. Thank you for loving me and always having my back. Here is to the next 20!!"

Stoan Seate had an affair with band member, Thandiswa Mazwai, and had a daughter with her.

Ntsiki Mazwai Controversy

Stoan Seate along with his wife and children were feature on the cover of the Drum magazine for the December 2015 issue titled Christmas with the Seates. This caused Ntsiki Mazwai to take to Twitter and her blog to accuse to Stoan Seate of being an absent father.
