Siyabonga Shibe (born 23 February 1978) is a South African actor best known for his leading roles in the SABC1 drama series Gaz'lam (2002-2005) alongside Menzi Ngubane, Thembi Seete, Gcina Mkhize, Bubu Mazibuko, Siphiwe Mtshali and Camilla Waldman. His first acting job was in the international feature film, The Stripes Of A Hero.

In 2003 Shibe was cast as Young James, who grew up in a village sheltered from the outside world, who embarks on a journey to the Holy Land, in the feature film James' Journey To Jerusalem. He currently stars on the SABC 1 prime time telenovela Uzalo as Qhabanga, a former cop who is the brother of Nkunzi (Masoja Msiza).

Early Life

Siyabonga Melongisi Shibe was born on 23 February 1978 he grew up in a township of Umlazi near the city of Durban in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa. He studied drama at Technikon Natal now Durban University of Technology.
