Meadowlands is a suburb of Johannesburg, Gauteng province, South Africa. Meadowlands has its origin with the introduction of the Natives Resettlement Act, Act No 19 of 1954 during the time when the Apartheid regime was seeking to remove black people away from the centre of Johannesburg.
