Mbali Nkosi (born 28 October 1989) is a South African actress, presenter, singer and dancer best known for placing third on Mzansi Magic's reality competition series Big Brother Mzansi season two with her partner Chelsea Humfrey. In 2013 she was cast as Cindy on Mzansi Magic's drama series Rockville. In 2014 she was cast in cameo role on SABC 1's soap opera Generations as Zandu, and she portrayed Brenda on Mzansi Magic's telenovela Zabalaza she acted alongside Baby Cele, Zandile Msutwana, Mbali Ntuli, Manaka Ranaka, Zolisa Xaluva, Loyiso MacDonald and Bohang Moeko.

Mbali in 2015 she joined Mzansi Magic's lifestyle magazine show All Access Mzansi season 10 as a host alongside Anga Makubalo and Nomzamo Mbatha. She went on and hosted season 11 and 12 alongside Thato Molamu, Nomalanga Shozi and K Naomi. In 2017 she was a guest on SABC 3's celebrity talk show and lifestyle series A Date with Arthur hosted by Arthur Mafokate.

Mbali has had roles on profuctions such as Angel's Song, Ses'Top La, Thula's Vine, The Queen and MTV Shuga she acted alongside Thuso Mbedu, Ayanda Makayi, Mohau Cele, Given Stuurman, Jet Novuka and Tshiamo Molobi.

Early Life

Mbali was born on 28 October 1989 in Johannesburg in the Gauteng province of South Africa. She attended Edenvale High School, and matriculated in 2007. She began studying at Le Gal Dance Academy at only five years old, training in ballet, tap, modern, and Spanish dance. She has two half-sisters through her mother and a half brother and two half sisters through her father. Mbali started her Business Management degree in 2012 at Boston City College.


In 2006 while still in high school she had a cameo as a dancer on the M-Net musical drama series Angel's Song. In 2007 she and Moagi Seete wrote the song "Free", which recording artist and actress Thembi Seete recorded for her album "Music Is My Life". The song was nominated for Song of the Year at the South African Music Awards (SAMAs).
