Khayakazi Kula born in New Brighton, Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. As a teenager back home, the actress was an active member of the Masazane Club, which taught traditional dancing, poetry, singing and acting. They performed around the Eastern Cape and that’s when she fell in love with acting. Khayakazi studied public relations and communications at the University of Johannesburg. She also attended acting workshops to sharpen her skills.
Khayakazi’s first TV role was on Mtunzini.com as Tyhileka in 2008 and her first lead was that of Lizeka in Intsika. In 2012 she was cast as Pinky on SABC1 youth drama series Tshisa. In 2014 she was cast as Pinky in a real-life television drama Soul City - alongside Nunu Khumalo, Lerato Mvelase, and Gontse Ntshegang. In 2014 was cast as Palesa on SABC1 drama series Kowethu. In 2016 she was cast as young Nomazwe in a Xhosa television drama series Isikizi - alongside Zandile Msutwana, Thamsanqa Mbongo, and Sivenathi Ntshwanti.
In 2016 she cast as Martha Ndlovu on Mzansi Magic telenovela The Queen alongside Loyiso MacDonald, Themba Ndaba and Zenande Mfenyana, Thembsie Matu, Sthembiso Khoza and Shona Ferguson. In 2017 she was cast as Bonnie on e.tv's telenovela Broken Vows.
