Khanyi Mbau (born 15 October 1985), is a South African socialite, actress, televisions personality, radio host, businesswoman and music artist. She gained widespread fame in 2004 when she joined the cast of the SABC 2 flagship soap opera Muvhango. Khanyi Mbau gained further fame and notoriety for her marriage to Mandla Mthembu a journalist-turned-millionaire. She made headlines again for her relationship with Theunis Crous a Johannesburg businessman who was married to Primrose Crous at the time.
Khanyi Mbau reestablished herself and made a triumphant return as a working artist; she appeared in the e.tv's anthology drama series Ekasi: Our Stories, her biography Bitch, Please! I’m Khanyi Mbau written by Lesley Mofokeng was published and she continued to work with e.tv hosting her own talk show, Katch It With Khanyi on eKasi+ and on the much heralded Nambitha Mpumlwana and Patrick Shai led telenovela Ashes to Ashes (telenovela) as Pinky.
In 2016 Khanyi Mbau joined SABC Radio's Metro FM as the co-host of "Whose show is it anyway" alongside Somizi Mhlongo and starred in the South African romantic drama film Happiness Is a Four-letter Word (2016) Happiness Is a Four-letter Word.
