Generations: The Legacy is a South African soap opera which first premiered on SABC 1 in 1994 as Generations. In 2013 reports began surfacing that there existed some discomfort between the actors and the producers of the show, that discomfort reached a boiling point on 15 August 2016 when the production company of that show fired the entire principal cast consisting of 16 actors and effectively ending a 21-year-run of Generations and ushering in Generations: The Legacy. On 2 November 2016 Generations: The Legacy went on air marking the return of the all time favourites Karabo Moroka portrayed by Connie Ferguson and Tau Mogale portrayed by Rapulana Seiphemo. Shortly after the Generations: The Legacy went on air, another fan favourite returned, Jack Mabaso portrayed by Vusi Kunene.
