Fezile Makhanya (born 13 July 1984) is a South African actor and television personality. He starred in the third and fourth season of the Ferguson Films/ Mzansi Magic drama series Rockville alongside Connie Ferguson, Shona Ferguson, Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa, Boity Thulo, Terry Pheto and Brenda Ngxoli. He portrayed the character of Tebogo Ncube in a Mzansi Magic soap opera The Queen opposite Dineo Moeketsi.

Portrayal of Tebogo Ncube

Fezile Makhanya's portrayal of Tebogo Ncube was a subject of praise and media coverage. Speaking to the Sowetan about his role, Fezile Makhanya was quoted saying, "I took my time, did my research, spent time watching people... there's so much you can learn there. My biggest concern was that Tebogo had to be believable. So I sat down and spoke to Moeketsi on set, on how we could better the relationship between Tebogo and Kea so that it is convincing."

Speaking to Times LIVE about his role, Fezile Makhanya was quoted saying, "This is the first role in my 15 years in the industry that I can say matured me as an actor. I feel like I have stepped up another level but people still think I'm Tebogo. The other day I was at a department and this women started screaming at me: 'what are you doing here? I hated your role and vowed if I ever met you I would slap you but you're so nice. I'm conflicted.'"

Personal Life

Fezile Makhanya wedded Miss Earth 2010, Nondyebo Dzingwa, in a traditional ceremony held Ramsgate in the KwaZulu-Natal south coast, this is according to a Drum magazine 2012 article.

Since then he has kept his personal life away from the spotlight. In an interview with Graeme Richards on SABC 3’s Expresso, Fezile Makhanya said, "I don’t think you could ever find a balance, because I’m known publicly, the only thing I want as mine and mine alone, is the relationship that I have with my partner, and luckily for me, thank God, she’s not a public person, she’s a corporate, nine-to-five, and that's where she likes to stay."
