A Place for Weeping (1986)

Darrell Roodt wrote and directed a 1986 film, A Place for Weeping, which sought to shine a light on the devastation - that at the time - was being caused by that system. He later remarked,

"I didn’t do it from a leftist, agit-prop point of view; rather, I tried to explore characters caught up in quagmire of those turbulent times."
