Amma Asante MBE (born 13 September 1969) is a British Ghanaian filmmaker, screenwriter, and former actress, who was born in South London and raised in Streatham, London. She has directer films such as A Way of Life, Belle, A United Kingdom and Where Hands Touch for which she also wrote the screenplay.
