Robert Marawa is the brother of sport administrator Gugu Marawa, and radio and television personality Vanessa Marawa.

Relationship with Zoe Mthiyane

Robert Marawa was in a relationship with South African actress Zoe Mthiyane; together, they have a son, Awande Marawa born in 2011. After their relationship ended, Zoe Mthiyane accused Robert Marawa of failing to pay child maintenance and neglecting their son.

Zoe Mthiyane went on to write an open letter, a Facebook post detailing their parenting struggles.

Relationship with Pearl Thusi

Robert Marawa was in a relationship with Pearl Thusi; according to reports, they were engaged before ending their relationship.

Health Problems

Robert Marawa has suffered three heart attacks over the years; the first one occurring in 2008. In 2017 he suffered a second heart attack and in 2019 he suffered a third.
