Nondumiso Tembe (14 December) is a South African actress, singer, songwriter and dancer. She gained wide recognition and acclaim for her emotionally intense portrayal of tragic Creole maid, Mavis, in the Golden Globe and Emmy award-winning hit HBO show “TRUE BLOOD".

She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre and Political Science with a focus on Africa from New York’s New School University and a Masters of Fine Arts in Acting from the prestigious Yale School of Drama. A classic dancer, Nondumiso has dabbled in theatrical acting and starred in several local plays in the lead role during her visits to South Africa. She is also an award-winning singer, her debut album Izwi Lami was released on 20 January 2011.
