Nolo Phiri was born Lehlogonolo Phiri on 04 February 1987 in a village Musina in the Limpopo province of South Africa. She moved to Johannesburg with her mother in 1990 and studied at the National School of Arts (NSA). After matric, Nolo pursued her love for the arts at Wits, where she completed her Honours in Dramatic Arts.
